Happy New Year

On behalf of everyone at STI-TEC and SENTIR Research Labs, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for all of the hard work you accomplished in 2023. Without each of you, we are not able to the make the positive impacts towards each of our employees, our communities, our customers or their missions. Again THANK YOU and here’s to another great year in 2024!

Over the Holiday Season, I am sad to report that our Founder, my business partner and mentor, Dr. Alvin E Hall Sr passed away unexpectedly. The different kind of company that Dr. Hall and I envisioned back in 2002 has been a labor of love and dedication to each person we collaborated with over the years. Our vision was to create a new kind of organization that is focused on the team (employees) and not just the bottom line…we believed we were needy, not greedy, and wanted to assemble a group of individuals (innovators and entrepreneurs) that would embrace the belief that by leveraging knowledge assets and emerging technologies we would achieve the operational vision of how a company should conduct business.

STI-TEC was the “capstone” to Dr. Hall’s career that started out working with one of the largest Department of Energy companies, EG&G in Ohio and Washington DC. He served in numerous positions while attaining his Associates, Bachelors, and Master Degrees ending as Executive Director to the President of EG&G Once EG&G was purchased and all of the executives were provided exit packages, Dr. Hall worked one year at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia where one of his mentors encouraged him to secure his Doctoral Degree in Business Management at Case Western Reserve University. While attending Case Western Reserve, Dr. Hall and I met through a mutual friend who encouraged us to start a new kind of company that leveraged both of our visions of a different way to operate a company, which became STI-TEC.

The journey we have had over the past 22+ years has been a huge opportunity for both of us to learn, grow and make positive impacts within our company, our communities and our customer missions. Dr. Hall is one of my best friends, my business partner, my mentor and will always be a part of me and our organization. We are truly blessed for the opportunity to be part of something he believed in with his entire body and soul. I am forever grateful and thankful that our paths crossed so that we could achieve some amazing things during our time working together. And that legacy will continue for years to come!

Services for Dr. Hall will be held on Friday, 5 January 2024, 11:00am at Phillips Temple CME Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Rd., Trotwood, OH.
